Early Life and Training
Archimede Seguso was born on the island of Murano, the historic heart of Venetian glassmaking, into a family of artisans.
By the age of 11, he began his apprenticeship at Barovier & Toso, one of Murano’s oldest glass factories. Immersed in centuries-old techniques, Seguso quickly demonstrated an extraordinary aptitude for the craft.
In 1933, Seguso joined Seguso Vetri d’Arte, a company co-founded by his father, Antonio.
