    • Radha Mohan Singh began his political career as a student leader.

      In 1967, he was elected as the nagar pramukh of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Motihari

    • He next joined the Jana Sangh and was appointed its mandal secretary in 1969
    • In 1970, he became the organisational secretary of the Jana Sangh for the East Champaran region of Bihar
    • Singh then became a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was named as the party’s general secretary in East Champaran in 1977
    • In 1988, he was made the president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Bihar
    • Singh was elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time in 1989 from Motihari.

      During this term, he was given charge as a member of the consultative committee in the Ministry of Commun
